Sarah & Anthony's Wedding 13/09/08

Sarah & Anthony were married last weekend in Toowoomba, with the ceremony at the beautiful St James Church and a reception at Gipps. Sarah looked absolutely stunning in a perfect dress and Anthony was very debonnaire in his tails and they both had a fabulous day. The weather was fantastic - what a change from the week before - and we had a great photo shoot at Laurel Bank Park and then down at the Toowoomba Station. With flower festival this coming weekend, Toowoomba looked it's Spring best - a riot of colour everywhere which looked really cool in the images. Nadine & I had a really great day and thoroughly enjoyed being involved in your special day. Thanks for letting us be part of your magical wedding.

New Brisbane Office

Well, after much thought and deliberation, the pain missing out out on a couple of sites and being really disappointed with some other options, we have finally settled on our new central Brisbane office!!
We are moving into Stones Corner - 433 on Logan to be exact - and will be in and open for appointments by Friday 19th September. Stones Corner has a really vibrant and funky feel and is really easy to access from all parts of the city, being just a few seconds off the Pacific Motorway. To make it even more convenient, we also have customer parking onsite!!
The best news though is that there is a very pleasant cafe in our building which is just perfect for more relaxed meetings or for a break during your photography viewing. I'm sure we'll be making plenty of use of the outdoor areas over the next few months as summer approaches!!
We will still be operating by appointment for the time-being, but just call or email to make a time to drop in and visit - we're even giving away a great free-gift for those who visit to discuss their wedding photography and video before the end of October 2008. We'll see you soon.

Melissa - 11th September 2008

Melissa came to the studio to get some shots for her partner. Despite being really nervous early on - her last professional photos were taken when she was a teenager - she really relaxed as the shoot progressed and was happy to try a few different looks and styles that really worked. The results were really lovely and will make the perfect present. Thanks Melissa!

Jenifer & Warrick's Wedding - Saturday 6th Sept

Jenny & Wogga chose the historic Jondaryan Woolshed to celebrate their wedding. There was a real country feel to the whole day and, although the weather was not particularly co-operative (it was more the middle of winter than the first weekend of spring), everyone had a great time.
With Nadine down in Brisbane for the Ideal Bride Expo, Kylie was my assistant for the day and did a fantastic job under difficult weather conditions, capturing some great shots as second camera.

Ideal Bride Expo - Brisbane - Fri 5th to Sun 7th Sept

The Ideal Bride Expo is held twice a year at the RNA showgrounds and is one of the big 3 Bridal Expo's in Brisbane. We had a great spot and had the opportunity to meet lots of wonderful couples over the 3 days (actually, only 2 days for me - I had to photograph a Wedding out at Jondaryan Woolshed on the Saturday).
The stand looked really good and it was the first time we've had our new premium albums out on display at a major expo and they got a fantastic response. We had a REALLY good special on for the show which quite a few people have taken advantage of so far. If you couldn't get to the expo don't worry - just email before the end of september and mention Ideal Bride and we'll let you in on the secret - it will be well worth your while!!
For our Toowoomba and Darling Downs clients, our next expo is the D&D Events one at the Burke & Wills Hotel on Sunday 19th October. There'll be a great special on offer for that one too and you'll be able to see our amazing new albums.

Lockyer Valley Race Day - Sat 30th August

This one has dropped out of sequence a bit, but a couple of weeks ago I was did some work for the Lockyer Valley Regional Council at their Race Day at Burgess Park in Gatton. Mostly it was capturing corporate and promo images, but Kelli, from Kelli's Daisy Designs was judging the Fashions on the Field and so Nadine and Zoe decided to get dressed up in their finest and tag along for a bit of a family day out. Mark, Kelli's husband and son Jack came too. Needless to say, everyone had a great time - I even backed the winner of the first race, but they do say you should quit while you are ahead don't they...!!

Amanda & Kylie's E-Shoot -31/08/08

Amanda & Kylie are a wonderful Brisbane couple whose Wedding we are going to be photographing in Toowoomba in October. They came out to the studio last week to get some really cool images for a guest book for their reception and everyone had a great time.
Amanda & Kylie are really vivacious and funny and they put a lot of energy and passion into the shoot which is always amazing to capture. The brilliant colours of the Pride flag are really unique and injected a really different element as well. Enough blogging though, beacuse I know the girls are really anxious to see these...
