Amy & Nick's Wedding - Caloundra - 01/11/10

Well Halleluja, praise the Lord. I guess it finally had to happen sometime this season, but yes, we finally got a perfect day for a Wedding!! There were beautiful blue skies and white fluffy clouds, the sun was shining, and yes, we were at the beach!! I'm sure Amy and Nick realise just how lucky they are after so many wet and overcast weekends through this Wedding season but Caloundra turned on a simply magical day for the first wekend in November.
From the first moment we arrived, we knew that this was going to be a really fun day and it certainly didn't disappoint. The Bride and Groom were relaxed and ready for a seriously good party and that made the location shoot even more enjoyable - as you will see from the pics, Amy nearly turned it into a "trash the Dress" shoot too when she dashed off into the surf!! A simply fabulous day and thanks to Amy & Nick for letting us share their day :-)

Angela & Brian's E-Shoot

It's hard to believe that 2010 is nearly over and 2011 is just around the corner!! We are coming towards the end of a very busy Wedding season, with just a couple more to go before Christmas, but we are now being kept busy with e-shoots for next year's couples. It was fantastic to catch up with Angela & Brian at kangaroo Point a couple of weeks ago and capture some stunning portraits for them. I say "catch up" with Brian - but actually it was the first time we had met as he is based in Florida and hadn't been able to make any of my previous meetings with Angela. The e-shoot was really good fun and I can't wait to capture some amazing Wedding imagery for them next year.

Birds...Birds...Birds...and a couple of randoms!!

One of the great benefits of having a fairly rural property and plenty of native trees is the enormous abundance of birdlife that seems to be attracted to our garden. With so many of our native birds being particularly photogenic, they does make for some great subject matter and here is a selection from the past couple of months...

Sadly we don't see any Koalas at our property (plenty of possums and other nocturnal visitors though) so this fella was enjoying his lunch at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary a couple of weeks ago. We were there as part of Zoe's school camp and had a great day despite the somewhat dismal weather.
We probably do get a few of these guys around our place and if they keep the mice away I would be more than happy - this one again is at Lone Pine.
Now that is one big seagull you've got there missus!! A stunning Sea Eagle, also at Lone Pine!
Giz a job! A sheepdog eagerly waits his turn to round up the mob during a demo at Lone Pine.

Maria & Rafe's E-Shoot

Maria & Rafe are one of our fabulous couples who are getting married in 2011. They chose Kangaroo Point for thier e-shoot a couple of weeks ago and got really lucky with one of the first really stunning days we have had in while. We had a really good walk along the clifftop path capturing some really great images before Maria & Rafe had to head off for the boy's suit fittings. We're really looking forward to capturing their special day with photo and video next March.
