Brisbane Designers Fashion Show

Once I got back to Australia it was back to work immediately and one of the first shoots was this red-carpet catwalk show held at the Old Museum in the Valley. 9 designers were on show with a really great variety of styles and looks. These are just a few of my personal favourite shots from the night - there are tons more (and a little video) on our Facebook page...

Zara & Samer's Wedding - UK

Whilst in the UK, I also took the opportunity to update my overseas wedding portfolio and captured some beautiful memories for a wonderful couple, Zara and Samer, who celebrated their special day in Bromley, just south of London. As everyone who follows my blog knows, I love capturing weddings in the widest possible range of locations and particularly overseas. I love the unique customs, the little nuances and, of course, the dramatically different lighting and scenic opportunities you get in geographically diverse locations. It was a pleasure to spend a fabulous day with two amazing people and here is a little taste of what the moments we captured for them...

Europe - with the iPhone

A little bit of a taster of my European adventures - all taken with an iPhone (4s)! The pro shots are still in post but hopefully this will give you a taste of where we've been and what we've been up to...

Editorial Photoshoots - Europe

As I alluded to in my post about rather slack blogging of late, I have been working overseas recently on a number of editorial assignments for magazines, together with some personal project work. Whilst most of the imagery is still embargoed, awaiting publishing, those who follow my instagram account (@mpvdave) will have noticed a lot of posts from Europe in September and October and just to whet the appetite, here is one of the behind the scenes shots of an editorial fashion shoot in Paris...

Where has all the blogging gone...?

Yes, I've been slack again and haven't done an update for a fair while and I hold my hands up and apologize! In truth I have been rather busy doing a lot of commercial and editorial stuff (a lot of it overseas!) that has some restrictions and embargoes on it, but dont worry, I will be able to release some of the imagery soon.
I have also been working on some art projects that will be launched in the new year so keep an eye out for those...

Erin & Dan's Wedding

Another perfect day, another perfect Wedding. Erin & Dan celebrated their nuptials at their local church, Gateway Baptist, which has some interesting history and which is a very imposing structure in magnificent grounds. We did the initial photoshoot there before heading back to the Glen Hotel for more photos and a fun packed reception. It was a really great day and thanks to Erin and Dan for letting me share their day.
