In return for her fabulous work as Marilyn, and as our model for the La Papeterie promotional images we shot a range of imagery for Zara's portfolio. It was great to be able to capture a real range of looks and styles which will add to her rapidly growing portfolio. Zara was a real pro and an absolute pleasure to work with and we will look forward to working with her on shoots in the future.
You have already seen Zara in her Marilyn guise but we also took the opportunity of having her at the studio to shoot some additional promotional images for La Papeterie. We shot some of the stunning fabric bouquets Nadine has created and also some of the Wedding props that we have produced. Of course our own little supermodel couldn't help getting involved too...
For the latest in our series of iconic image recreations we for the big one! Marilyn Monroe! There must be more iconic images of Marilyn than just about anybody else on the planet and deciding which one to shoot was hard!! We chose this series, with Marilyn seated in a cane chair on a very simple backdrop as the basis for the shoot and our model Zara did exceptionally well to help us recreate the style icon in her prime. Joanne Hasson at JK Couture Designs created the tulle skirt and hair, make-up and styling was by Nadine. We had a really fun time re-creating this little piece of history and would love to help you recreate your own piece of photographic history too.
I haven't posted much random stuff on the blog recently...mainly because a lot of my more fun "random" stuff is now shot with my iPhone and uploaded through Instagram...but also because I have been so busy with commercial and portrait work. There is a quick catch-up here and I will try and be good and upload more, especially some film-stuff in the next few weeks. If you do want to see more random stuff you can follow me on Instagram - my hashtag is mpvdave!
Sonia & Cameron popped into the studio for their e-shoot and we made great use of a new range of extra props and furniture we have been acquiring over the past few weeks. We're looking forward to heading out to Dalby for Sonia & Cameron's big day later this month :-)
The fashion parade at Ideal Bride is always exciting and full of stunning gowns, but this time there was even more anticipation with a new "reveal" gown by the outrageously talented Joanne Hasson at JK Couture Designs. Lesley and the boys from Division Models did an awesome job and the crowds were absolutely blown away by the result.
Nadine has been creating a unique range of fabric bouquets for La Papeterie - her Wedding Design and Inspiration side of the business. They are absolutely stunning and we've been using them in some shoots and they are also available to order in a range of style and sizes.
Another stunning afternoon in Brisbane gave us the opportunity to catch up the Nannette & Adam at the Powerhouse and then around the Storey Bridge. It was a great shoot with a really fun-loving couple who enjoyed every minute of it!! Nannette & Adam are enjoying an amazing pre-Wedding honeymoon before we catch up with them for their Wedding later in the autumn.
