Deb & Matt enjoyed a wonderful country wedding around Pittsworth on the first weekend of November. Although storms were forecast, the weather held off all day and we captured some stunning rural wedding photos and video with the Jacarandas in full bloom, golden fields of wheat and some great props, including a fabulous old hay-trailer and a great windmill. The whole Bridal Party had a great day and were really fun to be with. The reception was held at the Pittsworth Motor Inn which well deserves it's 4 star rating - they put on an excellent function in very pleasant surroundings and we were sad to leave as the band got underway and the party really started.

Kylie & Amanda's Wedding 24/10/08
Being a Wedding Photographer is an incredibly priviledged position. You get to share some of the most important moments of peoples lives, many of which are absolutely unique and memorable occasions. Sometimes it's the location - perhaps an ancient and beautiful church or a stunning tropical resort at sunset, sometimes it's the raw emotion of the day and other times it's just something unique about the occasion - a different style of dress or an alternative venue that makes a Wedding really special. Just occasionally, if you're very lucky, you get all those things rolled into one and you get day like we had the pleasure of sharing with Kylie, Amanda their families and friends a couple of weeks ago.
Having known Kylie and Amanda for quite a while now, and having shot their E-shoot earlier in the year, we knew their day was going to be something special and it certainly did not disappoint. The law of Australia may not recognise their union (one day we will catch up with those more progressive nations who do!!), but no-one who was their to witness their marriage could deny their commitment to their future together and the service was full of wonderful emotion.
We had fabulous weather for the photo shoot afterwards and captured some fantastic imagery around Toowoomba. Ellen & Portia gave us some great inspiration and everyone had a great time before heading back for a wonderful reception. We had a great time and would like to express our thanks to Kylie and Amanda for letting us play our part in such a special day.

Lucy's Portrait Shoot 22/10/08
Lucy won her portrait shoot during The Face of Daisy Designs 08 modelling competition earlier in the year. Lucy was deservedly voted "Miss Photogenic" but she was really shocked and thought there had been some sort of mistake. We finally got her into the studio to do her shoot and I'm sure you will agree that the title was well and truly deserved!!
Rebekah & Jeremy's Wedding 18/10/08
Well, after a fairly frantic latter half of the spring wedding season, I've finally had the chance to update the blog and get some some recent events uploaded.
I'll start with Rebekah & Jeremy, one of our Brisbane couples who were married on the 18th October at the beautiful Baptist Tabernacle on Wickham Terrace. The weather was perfect - sunny, but not too warm - and that allowed us to have a great photo shoot down at the Botanical Gardens after a very moving service. Rebekah & Jeremy had a large bridal party which ensured we got some great groupings and some other really cool photo opportunities you don't get at every wedding.
