 It's fair to say Brisbane has been having a stormy start to summer with plenty of torrential rain to keep the our green spaces looking particularly lush. This storm was a particularly active front with plenty of lightning to capture...





Even more sunset skies and a "Miltonhenge"...

 Well, the spectacular sunsets have continued into December and I have now discovered that Brisbane can lay claim to its very own "henge effect". The "henge effect" refers to Stonehenge in England, where at sunrise on the Winter Solstice, the sun is directly visible between two of the large standing stones. For many years, NewYork has celebrated it's own "Manhattanhenge" on 34th Street where sunset on the 29th May takes the sun down between two framing buildings on the street. I have now found Brisbane's very own "Miltonhenge" as you can see below...

Late November and early December is dance concert season and this year, with so many schools and studios losing their chance to perform last year as a result of COVID-19 restrictions were keen to showcase the incredible talents of their performers.first call off the rank this year for us was QDC whose concert was at St Johns Anglican College Theatre at Forest Lake...
