The first Saturday in July found us heading up to Toowoomba for Melissa & David's Wedding. After a week a fairly wild windy weather which had us nervously watching the forecasts again, the big day dawned bright and sunny but still rather chilly. There was no chill in the air when our team of four arrived for Bridal preparation shots though - the excitement of the day (and the air-conditioning set to 23!) making sure it was a warm welcome. Melissa & her Bridesmaids all looked stunning and we captured some great shots before heading out to the Japanese Gardens for the ceremony. With a lovely service down by the lake conducted by Jenn Stephens, one of the very best celebrants, we then moved on to photo's around the gardens.
Even though it was sunny, with the wind chill I'm guessing the temperatures much have been around the 8-10c mark and the girls were very brave to keep smiling when they must have been so very cold. I think everyone (including our team!) was glad to hop into the cars for the trip up to Picnic Point for more photos. As the sun was starting to set we headed back down into town and to the Railway Station for some final photo's before heading back to the reception at the Burke & Wills. Once everyone had thawed out the reception kicked off and a great time was being had by all with an excellent band, the Jackrabbits, providing the entertainment as we headed off. We'd like to thank Melissa, David & the Bridal party for being such fantastics sports and keeping going with the photo's when it would have been much easier (not to mention warmer!!) to head off to the reception early. You've got some amazing imagery to remember the day and we had great time capturing it.
