There's something about Maryborough...
As the COVID-19 restrictions continued to ease we decided it was time to do our bit and support some of the Queensland tourism businesses who've been doing it tough for the past few months and head out on a bit of a road trip. We chose to head north to Hervey Bay, and, whilst whale-watching still wasn't an option, there was plenty to see and do in the region. We based ourselves in Maryborough, an utterly charming and delightful town with a long and proud history and chock-full of stunning colonial and federation-era architecture. Maryborough was also the birthplace of the author PL Travers, famous as the creator of Mary Poppins and is still an important railway town.
