Brisbane floods...again...

After our experiences of the 2011 floods from our home near Grantham, and then the 2013 event in Brisbane, it was with very heavy hearts that we watched as the third round of "once in 100 years" flooding took place across the city. From our vantage point, it became obvious quite early that a major incident was occurring and we determined to capture the force of the river as events unfolded...






































Those sunset skies keep on coming...

With no real change to the weather patterns, Brisbane has continued to enjoy some incredible sunsets over the past few weeks and I've been taking full advantage of our view to capture some of them...











Grand Final Fireworks - the Simmering Cauldron

We have a view of the Suncorp Stadium roofline from our apartment in the city and that meant we were able to capture footage of the fireworks that went with the NRL Grand Final. With Suncorp known colloquially as the "cauldron", the sight of it "bubbling away" was rather apt...



Storm Season...

As spring rolls on here is Brisbane, storm season has arrived with a vengeance, with a couple of real humdingers to mark the transition from September into October...




I also captured some hyper lapses to show just how violent these storm cells were...


But, just a day later, the twilight skies were clear and the weather utterly beautifully...
