It was great to be back at the Treasury after an enforced absence from their previous expo because we were shooting a wedding on Mt Tamborine. But it was great to be back for the latest showcase and catch up with lots of industry friends and some new faces...

Love is love at the Same Same Expo...

We've been capturing same-sex unions for over a decade, long before Australia (thankfully!) joined the rest of the modern world and legalised same-sex marriage and recognised the rights of every couple last year. The Same Same Expo has been running for a couple of years and we were very proud to be invited to be a part of this year's showcase, held at the Powerhouse in New Farm on a stunning day. We had an absolute ball chatting to couples from across the spectrum of the LGBTQI community, not to mention plenty of straight couples who also came along to the show. Here's a little taste of a great day...

Suburban Sophistication at The Glen Hotel Wedding Showcase

We've been attending The Glen Hotel Wedding Showcases for about 5 years now and we've always had a great positive response from every visit. As the venue continues to expand its offerings become ever more sophisticated and the recent renovations to the permanent marquee have a created an even more elegant space for bigger weddings. The latest showcase last Friday was well attended with a range of vendors chatting to the couples who came through to view the beautifully presented spaces.If you're looking for an accessible, sophisticated southside venue that can host weddings of just about any size you should pop along and talk to their friendly, knowledgeable team about your special day.

Casino Royale...

On Wednesday night I was invited to attend the Treasury Casino & Hotel Wedding Showcase and I have to admit I was blown away by the spectacular spaces and elegant splendour of this grand Brisbane landmark. This venue would be the perfect setting for a formal wedding of any size, with high-ceilinged rooms that simply ooze history and create wonderful backdrops for photos. I've included a little taste here, but to experience the full grandeur of the venue you simply HAVE to make an appointment with wedding coordinator Suelin and see it for yourself...

A sneak peek at a new collection from When Freddie Met Lilly

One of Brisbane's most succcesful bridal and formalwear designers, Vanessa Hoe, from iconic brand When Freddie Met Lilly, will be launching her new Indianna Collection at Mirra Events in The Valley on 8th September. The collection recently premiered at the Australian Bridal Fashion Week in Sydney and will be showcased on the runway alongside the Hepburnesque Collection that saw it's premier on the catwalk at New York Bridal Fashion Week.

It's a wrap at Gowns of Elegance...

Last Saturday we were invited to capture the launch of a new range of wrap dresses by Erika Coyle at a high-tea function at Gowns of Elegance in Chermside. With the store looking spectacular, styled by Grande Moments Wedding & Events, lots of excited brides and their bridesmaids enjoyed Linda & her team's wonderful hospitality as the designer showcased her new styles and fabrics and demonstrated clever ways to wear these versatile and popular dresses...
