Riverfire Rehearsals

 It's not often you get any low-level military aviation action around Brisbane, however, the annual Riverfire celebration, marking the culmination of the Brisbane Festival, is one of those few opportunities. This year both the Airforce and Army have provided assets for the displays before the fireworks kick off and I had a great vantage point from our city apartment to view the practice runs...

The RAAF always provides plenty of exhilaration before the annual Riverfire fireworks. This year I will be shooting a wedding on Mt Tamborine during the show so I've had to make do with the practice sessions with a little bit of riverside randomness thrown in...











Messing about by the river...

When you've got an hour or so to kill, it's golden hour and you're down by the river, it would be rude not to capture some imagery, so thats' exactly what I did just before the Easter break. Northshore Hamilton is a great spot, with expansive views of the city and great sunsets over the Brisbane River. It also has regular ferries and is close to the flightpath for the airport, something which allowed me to capture a bit of a bucket-list shot, getting the rising full moon and a plan in the same shot...
















Supermoons to Superjumbos...

Last week had a little bit of everything, photographically-wise, from the spectacular Supermoon on Monday night to Superjumbo jets airside at Brisbane Airport on Tuesday morning, followed by some fashion videography on Wednesday, a wedding on Saturday, and finally a dance concert on Sunday!
